Collective Database for shared Cultural Heritage cataloguing

The CulturalHeritage.cc (CHF) Collective Database serves its member organizations as a community and development platform for the building and use of all types of collection formats.

Sub-collection formats from Object ID, up to Egyptology, Photography, Ethnography, Maritime Archeology, Oral History, etc.

CHF fully supports all developments to build any type of collection format in concert with its professional curator members.

Members provide the envisioned structure, thesauri and standard lists; CHF builds the online ‘tool’ and provides individual access to its members in order to use the results as a shared developed environment and international exposure of their collections simultaneously.

All input, requests and proposals by the members are verified with - among others - the ICOM, Chinn, and Spectrum Museum Standards before being implemented by our editorial and technical staff.

The result is a shared platform that represents the international museum standards for documentation of Tangible and Intangible Heritage.

This result is made available through

1) the CHF collective web database.

2) as stand-alone version to be used in private environment.

3) as web application for private use on either institutional level (museums and cultural heritage institutions) or at umbrella level (National Museums Association or National Heritage Institution)

4) On USB stick for stand-alone ‘On Location Work
